Looking for something to read now that you’ve finished the Dairy Queen trilogy? Here are some recommendations from other D.J. fans.

Shoot me yours and I’ll post it ASAP — promise!

An Abundance of Katherines

John Green. This book was mainly about this guy in high school always going out with a Katherine and never with any one else. Then he ends up on this farm somewhere with this blonde that is so out of his league with his friend but she ends up liking him.

The Seven

Sean Patrick Little. It's about seven kids who are genetically enhanced to develop super-powers. They escape, but one is recaptured, so the rest have to go back and have a showdown. It was like one long action movie. I picked this up because my librarian told me it was like the "Maximum Ride" series (which I loved), but I thought "the Seven" was a way better book.

The Goose Girl

Shannon Hale. A princess is forced to marry an unknown prince to maintain peace. On the way, she is betrayed by a “friend” and must go into hiding as a servant who tends the king's geese. She learns to fend for herself, to make real friends, and discovers her power over the wind. A lot like Princess Ben, now that I think of it. Trust me, you want to read this, and the rest of the series too.

- Meg

Jodi Lynn Anderson. A great book!!!!

Tomato Rhapsody

Adam Schell. It's a Romeo and Juliet-like tale of the forbidden romance that brought the tomato to Italy. But it's so much more... "The Princess Bride," even a splash of Mario Batali (the novel has really good recipes embedded in it), into a tale so utterly unique, hilarious and heart-felt that it took my breath away. A great summer read!

Playing With the Boys

Liz Tigelaar. I read this book so quickly! It took me only 2 already busy days to read it. This girl plays football against her father's will.

The Summer I Turned Pretty, It’s Not Summer Without You and We’ll Always Have Summer

Jenny Han. My favorite books in the world are the Belly Conklin trilogy. I feel like the characters remind me of people I know and are easy to relate too. Everyone should read these fantastic books.

- Zoe

The Gallagher Girls series

Ally Carter.

A Crooked Kind of Perfect

Linda Urban. Hi!  I loved in children's books:  A Crooked Kind of Perfect by Linda Hunt, Finding My Hat by John Son and Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko. Also — for older teens: Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins I hope you enjoy them too.
